Spring Plant Sale

Member Preview – noon until 5pm, Friday, May 2

General sale – 10am until 4pm, Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4

This year’s spring plant sale will feature trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, herbs, garden accessories as well as Holden cultivated wildflower varieties.  Talk to the experts, tour the gardens and see plants in their mature state before selecting plants to enhance the home landscape. More than 25 vendors are expected to join us for this year’s sale, which will feature one-stop shopping and expert consultation. This year, Holden is working with Grimes Horticulture to feature the Garden Leaders – trees, shrub, annuals, perennials and herbs proven to do well in home gardens.

Pick of the Plants:

Our horticulturists are pleased to have selected the golden rain tree and the Valley Forge elm as this year’s special offer. A limited quantity of these trees will be available for sale on a first-come, first-serve at the Holden tent in front of the Warren H. Corning Visitor Center.

The Creation Station will be available for designing container combinations and learning about selecting appropriate containers, soils, and balancing colors, shapes and textures of plants for whatever end-location you have in mind.

Plant sale is also the perfect time to tour Holden’s gardens with our experts. The tour schedule includes:

  •         Wildflower Garden Tour – 1-1:50 pm, May 3
