Education Programs

Holden offers a wide variety of programs designed to help our visitors learn more about the natural world. Tour the natural areas with one of our expert guides, learn more about horticulture, explore the ways nature can inspire art or take part in a family experience that allows you and your children to spend time together in the great outdoors.

Holden also helps area schools bring the study of nature to life for their students. Our school and youth programs are designed to enhance classroom studies. Special programs are available to help teachers develop new skills and lesson plans for their classroom.

Starting in September, Holden, in partnership with Ohio State University's Extension, will be a site for the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Program. The seven week course is a science-based natural resource education program coupled with community-based volunteer service.
