A flock of white-winged crossbills were spotted on Feb. 17, 2009, in a weeping hemlock outside the Cooper Administration Building on Sperry Road. The birds, which were feeding on the cones of the shrub, stayed long enough for The Holden Arboretum's Jackie Klisuric and Brian Parsons to capture these images.
