Pancake Breakfast and Spring Hike

Pancake Breakfast is a celebration of spring dating back to the Arboretum’s own maple sugaring days. Hundreds of visitors shake off the sleepiness of winter and discover the first signs of spring on guided hikes. Delicious pancakes and sweet syrups are complimented by new blooms and crisp spring air. Learn more.

National Public Gardens Day

National Public Gardens Day is an annual celebration of the nation’s public gardens to raise awareness of the important role botanical gardens and arboreta play in promoting environmental stewardship, plant and water conservation, green spaces and education in communities nationwide. The Holden Arboretum is offering free admission.

The Holden Arboretum Plant Sale brings together some of the region’s finest nurseries to offer a wide selection of trees, plants, flowers, herbs, shrubs and garden accessories. Guests can find inspiration in the garden’s before selecting the perfect plants for home landscapes. Experts are on hand to answer questions and Holden’s nursery propagated varieties are available for purchase.

Bouquets Wine Tasting

Spring blooms and live music provide a charming backdrop for an unforgettable evening in the Garden. A wide variety of select wines are paired with delectable hors d’oeuvres for tasting. All proceeds from this event support the continued development and care of the Arboretum’s unparalleled rhododendron gardens, the Helen S. Layer Rhododendron Garden and the new Eliot and Linda Paine Rhododendron Discovery Garden. Tickets will go on sale in the spring.

 

Woodland 5K

Sunday, June 21, 8:30am

Take part in Holden's annual run for health and test yourself against our trails, surrounded by the beauty of the Arboretum's gardens and natural areas. The first 250 registrants will receive a race t-shirt. The entry fee with pre-registration is $17. Register online now.
