Woodland 5K

When:

Holden gardens and natural areas

 

Challenge yourself on Holden's trails during this 5K run/walk that starts at the Warren H. Corning Visitor Center and travels through our gardens and natural areas over a mix of asphault and well-groomed trails. 5K race and walk covering asphalt and well-groomed, smooth trails.  Trophies will be presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top three male and female finishers in each age category. All proceeds to benefit Holden’s wellness and education programs.

Ikebana Exhibition

When:

June 29 and 30

Warren H. Corning Visitor Center

 

Ikebana, one of the traditional arts of Japan, has been practiced for more than 600 years. Students of Ikebana study this ancient art of flower arrangement, adhering to the principles of form and floral styles that determine the overall elements of design. Members of the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Ohara School of Ikebana will present an exhibition in the Warren H. Corning Visitor Center of The Holden Arboretum.

Summer Garden Concert Series

When:

Tuesdays, July 9 thought Aug. 27, 6:30pm

Holden's summer concert series returns, showcasing local bands performing in our beautiful gardens. Bring a blanket and a picnic supper and enjoy a relaxing evening with us. This year, Holden will provde a cash bar with beer and wine each week.

The series will start on Tuesday, July 9 and continue every Tuesday through Aug. 27. All concerts are free and open to the public. There is no charge for admission after 6pm on the day of the concert. Guest are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and a picnic. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be on sale at each concert.
