Holden butterfly Garden Guide

Share your enthusiasm for the Holden Butterfly Garden and your interest in plants and pollinators. Guides lead guests on informative 30-40 minute tours of the garden on Tuesdays and weekend afternoons, and as a group tour option Monday through Thursday afternoons.

 

The training will take place indoors and out and will provide you with everything you need to know to lead a well-informed, interesting tour.

 

Training and tours will highlight

  • What is pollination?
  • Who are the pollinators?
  • Why are pollinators beneficial?
  • How to attract pollinators
  • Plants to grow
  • Month by month plants to highlight

Requirements

  • Good communication skills
  • Interest in plants and pollinators
  • Ability to engage in moderate outdoor activity
  • New volunteer orientation
  • Background check
  • Holden Butterfly Garden guide training
